Jeana Goosmann, CEO & Managing Partner of the Goosmann Law Firm is pleased to announce the addition of Nancy Vollertsen as Of Counsel in their Sioux Falls, South Dakota office location. With an impressive career spanning over four decades, Vollertsen brings unparalleled capability in assisting employers with complex employee matters and defending them in legal and administrative claims. Her vast experience and outstanding reputation make her an invaluable asset to the firm and their clients.
Vollertsen spent most of her legal career in Minnesota. She was recruited by a prestigious southeastern Minnesota firm, focusing on general corporate, employment, family, and estate planning law. Leveraging her leadership skills, Vollertsen facilitated the firm’s merger with another preeminent firm and later became the newly merged firm’s managing partner. Several years later she was recruited by a major Minneapolis-based law firm, with offices in Denver and Sioux Falls. She served as the Chair of the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group and as its Employment Counsel.
As a testament to her legal expertise, she co-authored the publications “Employer's Guide to Employment Law Issues in South Dakota” and "Employer's Guide to Employment Law Issues in Minnesota” as well as numerous articles on employment law topics. Notably, she holds an AV Rating by Martindale.
In 2018, Vollertsen relocated to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where she joined the South Dakota Bar and established a solo practice.
