Our Leadership

CEO, Founding, and Practicing Attorney Jeana Goosmann is an Enterprising Women of the Year recipient, a WBENC-certified business leader, and a graduate of both Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business Executive Program and Harvard Business School’s Leading Business Transitions program.

Known as “The CEO’s Attorney,” Jeana built Goosmann Law Firm from the ground up with a vision to create a modern, client-centered law firm that helps business leaders navigate growth, challenges, and opportunity with confidence. Today, the firm serves clients with a proactive, relationship-driven approach grounded in strategy, responsiveness, and results.

With a business mindset, a commitment to hiring and developing the right people, a strong professional culture, and a forward-thinking approach to technology, Jeana has been able to beat the odds, defy the risks, and watch our firm continue to grow.

She also curated the RED philosophy: Ready. Execute. Deliver. — a mindset that drives the firm’s culture, client experience, and approach to business and the law. The philosophy is the foundation of her bestselling book, Worth It, and reflects the firm’s commitment to helping clients focus on what matters most.

Our History

Goosmann Law Firm was founded in May 2009 by CEO and Managing Partner Jeana Goosmann, who left an established, century-old law firm to build something different – something bolder.

Starting with one attorney and one assistant, Jeana made a defining early investment in branding and culture, positioning the firm around a clear vision: Midwest values, big-city capability, hometown service, and a business-minded approach to law. Over the years, the firm expanded across lowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota, surpassing billions of dollars in completed deals and earning national recognition as one of the fastest-growing law firms in the United States.

Today, Goosmann Law Firm operates in three Midwest locations – Omaha, Sioux City, and Sioux Falls – and continues to grow with no plans of slowing down.

2022

Goosmann Law Firm was named the largest certified woman-owned law firm in the Midwest by Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Throughout the year the firm received many recognitions including the Embroker Law 300 Award and the firm was named on the 2023 Best Law Firm list by the U.S. News – Best Lawyers®.

2021

CEO Jeana Goosmann was selected as a 2021 Enterprising Women of the Year Award Winner.

2020

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Goosmann Law Firm was named as a Law Firm 500 Award Honoree for the top fastest growing law firms in the US — for the fourth consecutive year. In February, we started our podcast, Law Talk With the Flock.

2017

The firm officially opened its Omaha office and was named one of the top fastest growing law firms in the United States by the Law Firm 500 Award.

2015

Goosmann Law Firm became certified by Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and the National Association of Minority and Women-Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF).
