Sioux Falls Lawyer in Family and Employment Law

Employment and Family Law Practice Area Leader

Beth A. Roesler is a Partner at the Goosmann Law Firm's Sioux Falls location. Beth is an employment and family law attorney who helps her clients navigate the drama in business and life. She leverages her past HR experience to dissolve employee issues, cut the drama, and find solutions to helping prevent them in the future.

Beth proactively helps clients protect their business by updating employee handbooks, offering employee training, providing guidance on difficult employment situations, conducting internal investigations, responding to charges of discrimination, and defending lawsuits. She handles cases involving federal employment statutes and regulations, such as Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and FMLA, wrongful termination claims, and labor disputes.

Beth has been practicing law and civil litigation for employers, businesses, and individuals for 12 years and has a wealth of experience.  She has 8 years of experience in the HR field for manufacturing and construction/management companies, including serving as an HR director.  This experience along with her MBA degree provides Beth with a strong understanding of employer and business needs.

Beth guides clients dealing with custody, divorce, child support, gestational surrogacy, and a gamut of issues involving families through life’s difficult situations to achieve optimal results. She listens to her family clients during tough situations to bring them clarity and resolve matters during a divorce or custody dispute. She develops strategies based on their unique life situations and tailors strategies to meet their needs. Beth knows no two cases are alike, and she excels at creating strategies to meet any given situation. She keeps in mind individual perspectives and goals, making it worth it for her clients.

She was raised on a family farm that reflects her hard work and above and beyond mentality she has for her clients. When asked why she practices in her area of law, Beth said, “Employment and Family law are all about solving problems and putting the issues together to achieve the best results for my clients.  I enjoy providing people comfort during some of the most turbulent times.  I like helping business resolve employment disputes and families achieve harmony and stability in their lives.”
