Abbey Janecek helps business owners, developers, and families bring their ideas to life with practical legal guidance and a people-first approach. Based in Omaha, Abbey’s practice focuses on business law, zoning, land use, and real estate development, with additional experience in agricultural operations, family business succession, and generational transition planning. She enjoys working alongside clients who are building something meaningful—whether that’s developing property, negotiating a lease, structuring a new venture, or ensuring a smooth transition to the next generation of leadership in a family-owned business.

Before becoming an attorney at Goosmann, Abbey clerked with the firm’s transactional teams on mergers, acquisitions, and real estate projects. Her background also includes political strategy, nonprofit advocacy, and business development—experiences that shaped her understanding of how regulatory, financial, and community factors come together to drive growth.
Born and raised in Omaha, Abbey takes pride in serving the community she has always called home. She is actively involved on the Junior Council for Madonna Ability Alliance, the Duchesne Academy Alumni Board, and ACG Nebraska. She is also a member of the American Agricultural Law Association. These roles reflect her commitment to giving back and to supporting organizations that strengthen Omaha’s business and nonprofit community.
